How are winter driving conditions?
This can vary day to day with the possibility of requiring 4WD or chains at any time between October and May. That said, generally the roads are open and conditions good 95% of the time. Check weather and road conditions in the week and days before you travel and plan for extra time and carrying chains (if driving 2WD) if there is snow in the forecast.
